HTC Hero official announce

As it was expected recently HTC announced its new Android communicator – HTC Hero. IT design and set of technical features looks impressive. It is equipped with Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz CPU, 3.2 inch touch screen with 320x480 px resolution, 5 Mp camera with autofocusing, 288 Mb RAM, 512 Mb ROM, microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS module, accelerometer and 1350 mAh battery. Besides the screen of this coming mobile device has oleophobic covering which preserves the screen from finger-prints and scratches. Another interesting feature is new user interface – HTC Sense. Due to it future users of this device will be able to create different UI profiles with different widgets’ combinations. HTC Hero will become available in July and will cost $750.

Huawei Technologies introduced its first Android based smartphone on Mobile World Congress 2009 exhibition in Barcelona. It is expected that this mobile device will become available by the end of the third quarter. Unfortunately the producer of this nice-looking smartphone doesn’t provide any information about its technical features. So we can only hypothesize.

Coming LG VX9600 Versa

LG VX9600 Versa was approved by FCC in the last September. But only today we have some photos of this coming mobile device. It resembles of LG Dare but has one very interesting feature – pluggable QWERTY keyboard. You can plug it when you need to type something. The list of other features involves 240x480 px touch screen, Bluetooth 2.1 module, microSD memory card slot. Among pluggable keyboard LG VX9600 Versa phone’s default configuration will include removable stereo loud speakers, Wi-Fi module and game keyboard.

Nokia E75 spy photos

Dailymobile source has just published some photos of coming Nokia E75 smartphone which hasn’t been announced officially yet. It is horizontal sliding phone with both usual and QWERTY keyboard. It is also said that E75 will have 2.8 inch screen with 240x320 px resolution, 3.2 Mp camera and Wi-Fi module. This device will support third generation networks and HSDPA. The operating system is S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2. There is still no any information about official release date.


T-Mobile Shadow II

The first T-Mobile Shadow mobile phone was not he most popular Windows Mobile based smartphone but it has some nice original features including its sliding shape factor, SureType keyboard and common functionality. So T-Mobile and HTC companies are going to introduce successor of this remarkable phone and some information about Shadow II has already appeared in the global network. According to Boy Genius Report this smartphone will be named Shadow 2009 and T-Mobile operator is going to release in the near future. It is expected that sale will start at the 29th of January but there are no any ideas about its price. It is also said that this coming device will not support 3G only GSM/GPRS/EDGE. But Shadow 2009 will have another feature which is very remarkable – UMA technology support. This fact means that this device will support “sutureless” roaming between usual mobile networks and Wi-Fi ones. T-Mobile Shadow 2009 will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 and will have 2.6 inch screen, 20 buttons sliding keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0 and etc.

Developers from Microsoft together with colleagues from HTC created SideSight technology which gives an opportunity to control mobile phone without finger touches. It is not easy to control some mobile devices because of small screen. So, developers decided to create special multitouch technology. The core of technology consists in infra-red sensors which are situated along the perimeter of mobile device. This sensors track fingers’ motion at 10 centimeter length. Thus user can control mobile device using gesture without any touch. There are a lot of questions concerning this technology but we have to wait for official announce which will take place next week.

It is some month before 2009 but Sony Ericsson shares its plans on the next year. SE is going not only known Rika, Yao and Kate but also Yue, Flippa, Frances and Athena mobile phones.
It is known that Sony Ericsson Yue will be heir of K550 which belongs to Cyber-shot series. It will have 3.2 Mp camera and will be available in the first quarter of 2009. Here is the image of this future phone.Sony Ericsson Flippa is another new mobile device from Cyber-shot series. It will have classic shape factor, 140 Mb built in memory and will support HSUPA technology.
Sony Ericsson Frances also belongs to Cyber-shot series. It is sliding phone with GPS module and smile recognition function support.

According to description this mobile device has intuitively clear user interface, steel case and minimum of visible buttons. Mats Lindoff who is technical director of Sony Ericsson shared future company’s prospects. In particular he said that company was developing great number of different devices and some of phones of series of third quarter would not go on sale. Lindoff also noted that SE is going to pay attention to Xperia series. Besides technical director comes out with a suggestion that company will produce Xperia phones which run on Android operating system. He didn’t say anything concrete but stressed the fact that company was interested in Android OS. Moreover he informed that the first Symbian phone from Xperia series would appear next year.

It will be heir of Sony Ericsson C905 which is also known as Shiho, This future phone will have almost the same features as C905 has with the exception of 12 Mp camera. Since that moment there was not any information about this device .Nevertheless preparing for official release took place. The producer of T-Mobile Shadow II is Taiwanese HTC company. This sliding phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and has QWERTY keyboard. Due to Wi-Fi module this phone supports UMA service. Unfortunately our source doesn’t provide other information about set of technical features.

From day to day mobile phones enlarge the list of functions. And become more and more useful. Nokia company is also going to enlarge this list due to Shoot To Translate technology. This technology provides an opportunity to take a photo of the text and to get its translation. The algorithm of text discerning is based on Nokia Multiscanner which is used in E66 and E71 smartphones. Languages such as English, Greek or French will require about 600kb storage on your phone, while more complex languages like Japanese and Chinese will need up to 3MB of storage. Unfortunately there is no any information about release date of Shoot To Translate.

NeuroSky thought sensor

NeuroSky company introduced prototype of the sensor which uses thought commands to control mobile phone. This sensor seems to be fantastic but is based on quite medical technology which gives an opportunity to measure brain relaxation and concentration to relay a corresponding command to a handset. Unfortunately it is unknown how does this sensor work. It is clear that potential of such technology is great. Nevertheless it will take a lot of time to make this sensor ready for serial production.

Demonstration video of two new Nokia smartphones has just appeared in the global network. Both of mobile phones have not been officially announced yet and belong to E business series. Nokia E75 has sliding QWERTY keyboard. Whereas Nokia E75 phone has QWERTY keyboard under the screen. There is no any information about technical features of these devices. The release date is also unknown.
